The Optimum L4250 is a new innovative, multi-lane payment terminal that provides value-add technology and complete electronic transaction management system. It is the first signature capture payment terminal that is PCI PED certified and complies with California’s Financial Code for visually disabled persons. It was designed to be customer friendly with a bi-directional magnetic stripe reader that ensures a 99.99% first read rate when customers swipe their cards. It also supports DES and Triple DES DUKPT encryption to protect cardholders PINs.
The Optimum L4250 comes standard with RS-232, Powered USB, and 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports enabling connection to an ECR. It is also optionally equipped with a Host USB port for attaching USB peripherals including printers, barcode scanners or biometric ID devices. The L4250 runs the entire suite of Hypercom's state-of-the-art FPE32 software and is compatible with all POS systems.
