The addition of the Hypercom S8 Pin Pad can helpful for both the merchant and their customers. The merchant can anticipate a savings of 50% or more by using pin pads that charge a flat fee rather than a discount rate. Customers will also be able use their ATM/debit cards to make purchases. The S8 Pin Pad meets with international security standards and as of January 1, 2005 it was made a requirement for all regulatory bodies in the United Kingdom to use pin pads.
Hypercom S8 Pin Pads have 4 programmable functions keys making operations simple. It also provides two management options. All program code is encrypted to one microchip that delivers extra security. It can be connected to any Hypercom terminal, cash register, or third party POS by using a Hypercom adapter.
