The TeleCheck Eclipse is an all-in-one solution that provides merchants with the ability to accept checks, credit cards, debit cards, and process EBT transactions with one simple terminal. This frees up cluttered counter space, since you no longer have to have a separate printer, check reader, and credit card terminal.
Co-developed with Hewlett Packard and Verfone, the TeleCheck Eclipse features an HP inkjet printer that prints both on checks and the receipt paper. It will void ECA checks and endorse paper checks with an approval code. The Eclipse terminal also sports a dual track magnetic strip reader, allowing you to skip entering in the driver’s license number, by swiping it instead. Other features include a 300 dpi check reader and a back-lit touch screen display. Also included is storage for up to 300 credit/debit and 500 check transactions.
With ECA services, the check reader enables merchant to convert checks into electronic funds. And the process is easy! The check is automatically read by the Eclipse. The merchant just enters in the amount. After it is approved, the merchant hands the check back to the customer, and the customer signs a receipt. The funds are then automatically deposited into the merchant account after 2 business days. No more trips to the bank to deposit checks! This also eliminates returned checks and returned check fees!
