The RDM Synergy is a brand new terminal from RDM Corporation. With RDM’s roots firmly planted with check imaging, the Synergy marks RDM’s first venture into credit card processing equipment.
The Synergy places its foundation on the Linux operating system, making application development easy. It is a muti-application capable unit that natively supports credit card, debit card, EBT, and loyalty along with its Electronic Check Conversion (ECC) and Check 21 applications. It can also support multiple merchants.
The Synergy boasts a superior ‘single pass’ Progressive MICR Method. This method, coupled with optional OCR MICR Assist helps read rates climb to near 100%. The check reader will also automatically frank approved checks. It features a 20 key alpha numeric keyboard, including 4 soft keys that are associated with the current display. It also has a backlit display for easy visibility. For communications, the Synergy has a 33.6 internal modem with a line in use indicator and line intrusion detection.
